Unremembered heroes. Women and men driven to almost unbelievable acts of heroism, forgotten by most of us.

One such: Witold Pilecki, a Polish resistance fighter who broke IN to Auschwitz to expose the Nazi regime.

He was executed by Polish 'communists' after the war on trumped-up charges. His last wish:

"I've been trying to live my life so that in the hour of my death I would rather feel joy, than fear."

Atheist, thank you. I’ve seen clips of Jim Royle so I know who he is - a disgustingly coarse specimen of humanity devoid of any semblance of grace. I just couldn’t fathom what word/words the name was intended to replace - and now I’ve discovered three interpretations of it so it seems it can mean whatever those struggling with comprehensible vocabulary want it to mean. If nothing else, it’s certainly versatile.
