Do packers make a deliberate decision to include one fruit that is borderline in packs of six knowing full well that the customer will not return it but just bin it. Always seem to have one in whatever I buy. Just opened a pack of passion fruit and a bad one there.

I don't think they have time to check each multipack.
I doubt they'd have time to play silly burgers. Probably packed by machine anyway.

Hi ToraToraTora, but what if 2 machines filling and one has good ones and one dubious. So five from good and one from bad in each pack.
occams razor me old china. I doubt it's a conspiracy to get rid of manky fruit.

Probably right. Just getting a bit cynical during lockdown.
The process of sorting and packing causes damage, likely at least one will be more damaged, add sealed packaging and items touching be grateful it's only one in a pack..
