By the seaside and flat
My parents are in their 80s and are planning their 2007 summer holiday. They want to go by the seaside but somewhere where the landscape is flat. They usually go to Bournemouth but at their age it is too hilly. Thety live in Wales so won't want to travel too far. Ideas welcome. Thanks

Southport and LSA sound quite good. They want somewhere where they can sit on the sea front or sit in the gardens. Somewhere they can feel safe and where they can do a bit of shopping (well my mother anyway - she might be over 80 but still loves shopping for clothes!!), and somewhere they can go for coffee or a light lunch.
Thanks for all your help.

If they live in Wales how about Llandudno (north west of Wales).
This is a well known "old persons" resort with many events catering for the elderly, and hire of wheelchairs and electric vehicles.
Many hotels are used to ctaring for the elderly with walk in baths and so on.
It also has a long flat promenade for easy walking
