I have bought a secondhand laser printer and on largre dark areas you can see remants of old text. is there a way to clean the printer to get rid of these ghosts of the past and perhaps make the dark bits as dark as they should be ?

The ghosting will be from the rollers inside, if you take the toner out (depending on the printer) you should be able to see at least one of the rollers... just wipe it clean with an ethanol towel or something...

The darkening of the image may be due to the fusion kit wearing out... not getting as hot as it should... etc..
