So he appears with a black background and a furled union flag emulating Boris's No.10 conferences. Absolutely pathetic. You don't win by copying the opposition. You can only win by differentiating yourself.

Yes! I got as far as modern dictator but you have nailed it....he needs a better image advisor.
I do get the thing about what the Opposition party is for but there is no need to appear so mean and grudging about it. He's coming over as a nitpicker who has no better ideas of his own and can only whinge. From a point of view of making the party electable, I'd like to see him mobilising the Labour party to be out there at grass roots publicly demonstrating support help and compassion....they may well be doing it as individuals but their image as a party is of a grudging antisemitic shambles with a small minded leader.
