Don't get me wrong , I felt very sorry for my friend, her husband passed away last August , her heating has gone off and water was pouring from the boiler I'm afraid she's the hysterical type and I could hardly understand her on the phone, I calmed her down and rang the man that services our boiler each year ,he went round hers and he's dealing with it but Oh my head aches, I hope the day gets better :0/
Many years ago our phone number was only two digits different from the Samaritans which caused some strange phone calls,I patiently listened during one such call before explaining they had the wrong number, there was a long silence before he said “Oh,I see you fat baldy b astard”, what really shook me was,HOW DID HE KNOW.
My friend is a hysterical person,,I've often raised my eyes heavenward and thought " Why didn't you show her what to do ,even simple stuff she can't cope with "
Glad you managed to get it sorted Bobbi. Must have been a great relief to her.
Reading the other replies brought home how many kind people there are around.
Living in rural part of Wales our phone number was only 1 digit different to local pub. We used to get some odd messages. Most common one was 'send him now'.
