i i have one of these it says "safe" in the display. do i need to put the code it. i dont have this can any one help. garage told me not there responsibilty. also how do i get the radio out of the dash to read serial number.

If don't see how the serial number helps, but sounds like you still need the radio code to input into the radio. Did you buy the car from a franchise dealer? If you did then you should go back in there and tell them it may not be their problem, but it would be kind of them to take five minutes to check for the radio code for your car on their system.

no it was not from a francise dealer. local guy. needed to disconnect the battery for an alarm to be fitted. did not know the code was not with the books. dealer said it is not something he can do. just asking if any one can get the code, i can go to vauxhall and pay through the nose..

The code is also held at head office at Vauxhall. Take Log book to the dealer under �20 it sould cost.
