I've put up with a car without a heater for many winter months before now (simply because I didn't have the money for a repair but I still needed the car for work).

I didn't really mind being cold that much but having to stop every few miles to clear ice from the inside of the windscreen was definitely a pain in the posterior!

PS: Have you checked you car's coolant level? (If it drops too low, the heater will pack up).

Hi Chris, I agree, no heater means all windows open and wiping the screen clear, not much too put up with really.

The front wiper packed in a few days ago, module broke. Got a quick fix by a switch to operate wipers but seems to have affected the blower. Garage tomorrow.

System may need bleeding but there must be some reason for coolant loss. Is temperature gauge showing OK?

Hi Tony. No temp gauge in car, odd I know. All OK but the blower.

Maybe a fuse or module you mentioned earlier. If it is blower don't think it will be coolant level related. Let us know how you get on, are garages still open?

It was -4/5 this morning. That's pretty cold for these parts.

Did'nt check temperature this morning but plenty of frost on cars and buckets outside had ice on them

Hi MM. Did not get replacement module, cheaper option a switch on dashboard to turn wipers o0n.
