We have already debated teams travelling long distances across the country for fixtures when everyone else have been told to stay home.

Meanwhile (Glasgow) Celtic decided to take themselves off to Dubai for a mid season break, inevitably one of them got Covid and they are now all isolating at home.

Is that not just totally irresponsible and madness?

The FA Cup waste exempt NJ.
However it depends as with all this on where you live: in N Ireland lower league teams were also given dispensation to play in the Irish Cup but unlike in England the qualifying rounds were cancelled. Then a few weeks back the Executive ordered the postponement of the Cup
If continuation of elite sport poses a serious risk then it should be put on hold.
However some (not all) of the complaints seem to be along the lines of “if I have to have a miserable life why don’t these highly paid prima donnas?” which may be an understandable reaction but it’s not a fair one
Dont know the details judge regarding testing of Marines players and, bubbles. Am sure they didnt all go in the bar after or share baths with Spurs. Am expecting there to be some restrictions soon that may stop lower leagues playing. But am sure you agree with some parts of the economy being kept open dont you? Obvs youd prefer your restraunt to be open to football but for me its the other way round

We are told that Footballers are tested more, that social distancing is very strict for them, that they are isolated at grounds to prevent them mixing with anyone. That playing professional football is safe.
Tomorrow’s Tottenhams match with Aston Villa has been postponed because AV have a covid outbreak and cannot field a team. The precautions do not seem to be working. In the latest round of testing there was 40 positive cases of professional footballers, double the previous test.

It seems obvious that the season will have to be suspended soon. Why the delay?
Just because you’re tested more doesnt mean you are less likely to get the virus.it’s whet happens when you do. But these people are getting tested as a matter of course, which catches a lot of the asymptomatic cases.
It would be concerning if games weren’t called off, although it depends on the competition as for example cup games can go ahead with reserve team players.
Your example shows it is working sunk. By your argument all workplaces and shops and transport should be shut down because virus can spread.but footballs safer due to regular testing even if no symptoms
50000 new cases a day so am not sure why your obsessing about a handful of footballers. Maybe ickeria was soot on.
Spot on
Every precious person on this website thinks everyone else is full of irresponsible madness. Not like them who are so saintly and outraged at the actions of others, instead of just carrying on and keeping their noses out.
Everyone on here 20 clarionst... or everyone except you lol. Ipso fatso
