I wondered if silly things happen to you. ( well,sillyish, anyway)) Had a phone call this morning, it was someone asking me to look up a telephone number because there was no access to a computer. I looked up the number, and when I started to read it out, he said “ hang on, while I get a pen and paper”

I'm often asked if I have a pen.

I have one in a plant pot :-) It's a MauU pen. They keep sending them...I support Arsenal.

he should perhaps have had the pen and paper ready before he called? Not that I often think of it.

I think that was why Directory enquiries went automated. They must have got sick of people ringing them and then saying "hang on- let me find a pen" :-)

That’s what I thought, you would think he would have had a pen. I generally do not remember numbers, don’t even know my mobile number.

Young lad 20+ begged for my £1 from smkt trolley which I gave him & asked if he wanted work. He came to my home & cleaned my greenhouse glass. When I paid him he returned my £1 ;)
