Yes been on mine for several years - sometimes it's interesting, things for sale, lost and found, local events including crime, cries for help etc. I read it but don't contribute much.

I avoided it for years but gave in and registered recently. I logged in once or twice and found nothing but a notice from the police warning of a cyber scam and another person saying hello I'm new around here. I checked in a couple of times since and still nothing new, haven't bothered to go back. Its a very inactive site here.

What puzzles me is why a local person goes to all the trouble of printing and delivering invitations to join, but does welcome people or create any content? Very odd.

I think ubasses and barry are spot on.
It's good at warning you of scams and burglaries, also for missing pets, but I would never use any of the tradespersons as they could be recommending themselves for all I know.

I think mine’s broken - I keep getting notifications about ‘Hi, I’m XXXX, I’ve lived at XXXX for so many years and have a dog called Shep’.
