Caran, I never did like Bill Haley, he seemed like an old man to me.:-)
A few I forgot to mention earlier, Roy Orbison, Rick Nelson, Gene Pitney, The Beach Boys, The Righteous Brothers and The Walker Brothers. I always felt they were so much better than anything we ever had here.

....fall of the Berlin wall, victory in the Cold war, great sports moments wonderful 80s. Music has been in decline ever since, the odd good thing but mostly awful.

Historic moments definitely, I remember seeing live when the Berlin Wall fell, it was a magical moment but then so was July 1969 seeing man walk on the moon

Heroes is one of my favourite songs, it must have been inspiring when belted out that night. A rumour was started that people would be allowed into the west and they turned up in the thousands. The guards stood aside the wall was torn down. I have tears in my eyes typing this. The communists had oppressed people for 73 years at this point in the end they saw they could not stop the will of the people. Wonderful.
