Nixon/Trump Parallels

This is a cracking two-parter.

Nixon was a criminal.
Trump is just stupid.

Nixon was pardoned by Ford.
No one will pardon Trump.

Nixon worked hard afterwards trying to restore his legacy.
Trump won’t bother about his legacy and won’t do anything to restore it - he will probably make it worse if he is allowed to.

Other than the impeachment for which he was pardoned, Nixon faced no further litigation.
Trump’s rap sheet is longer than the constitution. He will be in Court for years.

You can only pardon someone who has been found guilty.
That will happen when he has been prosecuted which will be after he has ceased to be President, and lost all his power.

I don't see any parallels between the two, apart from the obvious. They're completely different types of people. Nixon seems like the standard crooked politician that got found out and had to resign as a result.

Trump is dangerously unhinged.
