egg white off?
9 Answers
we have found that the best thing for my baby's nappy rash is egg white!
The thing is, because it works, you only need to use it for a couple of nappies and the bum is better.
My questions are - as I am chucking out a lot of eggs - will the egg white go off if i keep it in the fridge? does it matter as no-one is eating it? can i use it again after say, three weeks? What can i do with the egg yolks? One every now and again is not enough to do anything with but i don't really want to throw them away. Can i freeze the yolk perhaps to use at a later date?
I didn't realise that this would be such a complicated thread!

I just keep a pot in the fridge and smear it on the affected area. It dries and forms a kind of seal. I think that's how it works.Believe me, I had tried all kinds of creams and talcs.
I would definately recommend giving it a try. you can see a difference at the next nappy change.

I've never tried whisking it, I don't think you would need to. it would just be more work! I smeared some on the back of my hand and watched what happened. It dried very quickly and turned into a kind of skin. I think it just acts as a barrier, giving the sore part chance to heal.
I did find sudocrem worked for minor rashes, but sometimes, for no apparent reason, my little one gets, well, it's almost like a burn really, very very sore and the cream doesn't give it chance to dry out. I think it must depend on what he's eaten or drank. there must be a combination of a couple of things that just make his urine very strong. Unfortunately, I've yet to find out what they are!
