Looking Back On Your Life.

How pleased are you with it.
I think we have had a superb life.
I totally disregard my life before I met OH. But since then we have had a fantastic time.
We have holidayed numerous times in Greece, Turkey, France and Spain.
We had a small cruiser we sailed all over England then took it to France. Sailed everywhere we could until we couldn't bring it back from south coast as we couldn't go against the current. We left it in Toulouse and visited every year until nowhere else to go so sold it.
Bought a motor home. Did most of uk in it. Then did everything we wanted to do in europe.
Since then we have pottered here there and everywhere. OH goes on his own holidays now twice a year in Europe by car. I enjoy his holidays as much as he does! What about you lovely folk?

I’m glad your life finally turned around and you’ve had some great times. Me and Mrs Z live to travel and had just started to be able to do some great trips but we also love Britain so if trips abroad aren’t possible we’ll still have a great time. We’re passing a few hours each weekend by looking back at photos (just found out how to do this from the disk drive via our TV) from our trips. Thanks again, one of the best posts in recent times on here.
JJ, how kind and thoughtful of you, that's lovely.
Caran, I do hope you take no notice of the nasty (and frankly, ridiculous) negative comments. What a depressing forum this would be if we didn't post nice things for fear of upsetting folk less fortunate.
Can I ask - why does OH now go on his adventures on his own?

I'd been reading this thread yesterday, and had been made happy by some of the posts.
So I just had another look and was made even happier - except for the astonishingly mean-spirited (and ignorant) attack on Caran made by Paigntonian at 23:15.
Caran is one of the nicest, most helpful and least confrontational people on this site - it's always a pleasure to read her posts - not least because they so often talk her community of family and friends - and about the help she has received (and given) which make that community work.
The concept that she is waving around her 'rainbow sentiments' (as Paigntonian churlishly describes them) is a very long way from the truth - he should be ashamed to have posted in such a way.
I would remind him of this post he made just a short while ago :

... and hope (probably fruitlessly) that he is suitably abashed and can apologise.
