Heinz Balsamic Vinegar And Roasted Tomato Ketchup

Just discovered this on a Waitrose reduced shelf. Its so
lovely and now of course they dont sell it any more and its really difficult to find.
The flavour is good - a bit more tangy than their standard ketchup and I use it as a spread or in sauces or just dolloped on whatever.
Has anyone else tried it ?

Perhaps Rosie could check with her local supermarkets if they haven't got it in Waitrose. These sauces were only launched last year so would be surprised if they don't sell them somewhere.

"Discontinued" doesn't necessarily mean that it is no longer manufactured and distributed in the UK. I've been through this with Waitrose on several occasions with other products...it can mean that it is no longer listed by Waitrose or even that it is no longer in that particular store, but available in other branches (usually 40 miles away!).

They were actually launched in the UK in June 2019 and 18 months is the typical trial time that manufacturers give to new products before deciding whether or not to retain them within their ranges.

To be fair my local Waitrose is not one of the bigger ones and often doesn't have products that you can get in the big stores.
You can get it on Amazon - if you buy three - about £8 for three.
The worst thing about it is that its a narrow neck bottle and the sauce doesn't shake out easily. I end up putting a knife down to dig it out and then get sauce all over the handle of the knife !

I often find that a product listed as unavailable online is actually well stocked in the nearest supermarket. You have to go into shops with care these days, but first thing or last thing seem to be the best times.
