Adolf Hitler was very impressed with the plans of this fully committed member of the Nazi Party. In 1958, the EEC was formed under the Presidency of, yep, Walter Hallstein. The industrial might of such companies as VW, Seimens and Krupps had prevailed through all the problems and ensured Germanys' position as Europes leading industrial nation. In 1949, NATO appointed Erich von Manstein as a miliatary advisor, during which time he was approached with a view to re-forming the Germany Army. von Manstein was a veteran of the Russian Front. Look at Europe today, and what you have is the economic and industrial presence dominated by Germany that Walter Hallstein had planned back in 1940. It's now the EUREICH.
