How much of an article has to be copied for it to be counted as plagiarism? I have written an article for a hobby newspaper that I write for, and someone has now used the article for another magazine, with very few words altered, and no acknowledgement that the original was written by me, and signed their name at the bottom.
a stiff letter to the editor of the other magazine is called for. In theory you could demand that the other writer hand over his payment to you, but if it's another hobby magazine he may not have been paid. At least you could suggest the other mag publish your name as the real author.
