Redesigning Diamond Ring
6 Answers
Has anyone ever had the diamonds removed from a ring (3 stone ring in this case) and reset them in a different design? There are plenty of bespoke places around that will sell you the diamonds but I want to use the ones I already have. I don`t know where to start really - Hatton Garden? I don`t think I would trust an online place and a lot of small jewellery designers tend to produce more quirky stuff and I want this to be classic.

I had 2 rings reset as one by a jeweller who was recommended to me by a friend... ask around and someone will have someone to recommend ... you will feel better able to trust the jeweller if someone you know well has used that person before. I have to say the out come was better by far than I had imagined.
237SJ - I wouldn't think that would be any problem. She reset my eternity ring for me and it was lovely, as was my friend's pendant. Her name is Heather Goldthorpe and she has a website under that name (hope this doesn't constitute advertising) have a look. She is quite difficult to get hold of but has an answering machine. She is usually in the shop on Friday 10-1.00 then 2-5 and Saturday 10-1.00. Let me know how you get on.
