Clearly some new posters struggle with some of what is said here.

Post something below that every new poster ought to know.

Please though, let's keep it light hearted!!

My facts are that:

Gness and Sunny Dave are a couple who live in Ireland. Sunny Dave is still alive (just) since he does most of the cooking. Gness is quite handy with knitting needles.

I only joined this site because of my cat (ASBO) who is now 15. I like wine and no longer do crime because it doesnt pay.

Ummm is Oirish and lives with a ginger bloke. She injures herself a lot and eats potatoes.

And if Dave tells you he also uses it for storing onions...he is fibbing. ;-)
rumour has it that it took speed knitter gness a fortnight to complete it . . .

“Fact checking” some call it ;-)//

That is fine if the post is factually wrong & that should be encouraged.

This might explain things and takes me back to a bus trip in Ireland .. the woman sat on the front seat was knitting.. when I said "That's a nice long scarf" .. she looked over her glasses and replied "It"s not a scarf ".
She spoke no more, now I know what it was !
Awww....had I known it was you, Alav, I'd have taken your order.
You mean they go on a 'Fact Hunt'?
Mozz71 - // Also, in my head, your surname is "Custard". //

Might be.. all will be revealed when I'm allowed an avatar image.

You didn't drink enough, Rowan. First soiree I attended, I was still ratted the next day!!
I know nowt, but when I first joined decided to stick around due to the Brainy and sharp witted folk on here.

A shame they all left.
I left early, couldn't keep up!!!
Anyone remember trying the Tactical Nuclear Penguin?

I still go cold at the thought.

Wuss, it was really nice and had to be done (35% aBV beer at the Birmingham beer festival ). Just a shame they didn't have the Sink the Bismarck. 41%
Same event over 30 perries and ciders, McFluff said she was going to try them all. She got close.
//Sink the Bismarck. 41%//
52 quid a bottle and it's out of stock :-)
If you are a beer nerd it's kudos to say you have tried them, I really like the very strong Imperial stouts, but they rarely go above 12%
It is not only impossible to make beer of that strength through fermentation, it isn't even possible to make wine of half that.

It has either been distilled or fortified with alcohol in both cases it isn't 'beer'.
