Where are the towns and areas that 'Midsumer Murders' is filmed?

It is filmed over vast areas of Oxfordshire.  I woudn't go there though, not with their murder rate - and only 2 coppers to investigate....

Someone should investigate that John Nettles fellow. When he was Bergerac, the crime rate in Jersey was appalling. When he moved to Midsummer, the murder rate soared and no more crime was reported from Jersey. It's him that's doing it!!!
