I suffer from migraines, which are triggered by chocolate and cheese. I ate a small piece of chocolate cake on saturday night and had a migraine on Sunday night, could these be connected? Usually I have the migraine on the same day I have eaten the forbidden food.
Many Thanks

Why do you eat it?? I know chocalate can be tempting but if it makes you sick? I'm not sure on the answer but it is national Migraine week this week and theres a few websites floating about at the moment. try and google it or go on GMTV they are covering it this week.
Hi Cazdee, Sorry to hear that you get migraines. I also suffer from bad migraines, but mine are triggered by changes in the weather (so weather pressures) and severe stress. I do know people who'se migraines are triggered by chocolate and hard cheeses and have heard that sometimes, if they have only had a smaller amount of the triggers, the onset of their migraines can be delayed. I have started to use 4head, when mine are just starting out. This is a balm stick that you rub over your forehead. It gives you a nice fresh tingly feeling that soothes the forehead at once. As you do not swallow it, 4head does not have any adverse effect on your stomach lining, as some tablets have. I find that if used together with either the Nurofen migraine tablets of my other prescribed tablets, I am able to stop my migraines from getting really bad. Please ask your doctor about this first though, in case they may not be suitable for you for some reason. Both are available over the counter. Hope you feel better soon.
