My FIL, bless him, he’s only 68 but says he’s losing the will to live with boredom and is going to clean the oven!! Me? Ummmmm I might put the washing machine on..........
Nippy here, Norfolk, -3.5 when I went to get the paper, prior to returning to bed for a couple of hours. Contemplating putting the heating on a bit, maybe 16 degrees, and even closing the bedroom window. About to use up some stilton in stilton and brocolli soup, every time I look at the rugby the blue ones look like they're going to score, happened last week too! I'm known as the kiss of death, I'm not even allowed to look at the football scores until 5.30!
Minus 22 here with the wind-chill. I am sitting here waiting for an Amazon order which I placed yesterday...Now that is quick delivery. This afternoon I will make a trip to the beer store and get a few necessities.
Apologies again Smow. Pasta Marmie was a stray found at about 3 months weighing 800grams!! Had been being fed scraps. Now 3kg and spends the night on my bed with Cookie. He ignores the other 4 cats and is not seen from about 8 am to 6.30pm. Still wary of strangers but ok with daughter and grandkids when they are here. Well worth the angst
A hankie usually but this was a Catholic school, Vagus...so a rosary beads or a scapular. I went for a scapular. Saved me from eternal fire if I died trying to get over the hurdles. :-(
I had a lazy morning in bed. Mr BM had to go out to help our farmer friend, so I went to the butchers. Then I made beef Wellington, with individual dauphinois spuds and balsalmic shallots then choc fondant with homemade ice cream and summer fruit coulis. It's the first time I've done any serious cooking since we moved. It was a nice day.
