On C4...is anyone watching this. Second episode tonight.
It's a new drama by Russell Davies, and follows 4 friends as the Aids epidemic sweeps through the gay community. Both funny and intensely sad. Well worth watching.

I think is the phrase you are looking for Sqad

Interesting virology Sqad - - - MUCH more interesting than boring old covid. Too much variation even within one pt, to get a vaccine to get up and run

Gallo STOLE Montagniers viral samples and tried to pass them off as his own and claim primacy ( What? - anyway technology showed that G's samples were produced FROM M's samples)

It is the only scientific cat fight to have been decided by - - - international treaty. the Americans started litigation a la Trump and they estimated that ALL the surplus from research wd go to the lawyers.

and now HIV has a better survival than my disease ( relapsed lymphoma) - so long as you take your meds

ho hum such is life
so the international treaty agreed that there would be no litigation over primacy of discovery

M got a nobel and G didnt who later said he thought it was fair.

G got his chief tecnician Popov to 'admit' that he had purposely mixed G's with M's sample in a 'co-culture'. This is the equivalent of saying that Mrs Smiths specimen was negative so you added a bit of Mrs Brown and hey it was positive now

as an ex lab rat from Porton I thought to myself - - is this really happening? are they serious
very good script
and really well produced / realised/ production values

spoiler - bonking like bunny rabbits gives way to dying like flies very quickly -
AIDS seems to have dropped off the public consciousness. I haven't heard anybody talk about it for years. I guess there are much better medical treatments now than was the case in the 1980's
I'm watching it, trying to keep track of how many time Le Mans Crescent in Bolton can be used! It's had a London skyline and a New York skyline, it's also the place from which the chap's fired in London. The Bolton Council tax should be severely reduced if they're making a lot from it.
I told my daughter to watch it. She thought she wouldn't like it from episode 1 but spent the rest of the episodes crying.

My OH won't watch it. He thinks he'll find it too emotional.
