Dusting : Wet or dry?

Some people swear by dusting with a damp cloth others say polish and dry.

For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.I don't polish much ..it attracts more dust especially the silicone type.I only use polish a couple of times a year on my wood furniture and then a non silicone one which feeds the wood.
I always damp dust with a microfibre cloth well wrung out in warm water. We had a discussion about this the other day .

I will dry the vac first if it is really bad and then I get in there with pieces of folded kitchen roll and a spray depending on the surface, as I dont have much wood I like lemon mr muscle as it leaves a nice lemon smell - so people know I have cleaned lol!
The kitchen roll means I can just take a carrier bag around the house with me and when the piece of kitchen roll I'm using gets too dirty I throw it in there with other rubbish I find on my journey, this means no dirty dusters and a clean cloth so I am no just spreading dust around.
