Feel Awful About Talking About This

I have a sick friend lives a good way from me. In the last year or so she has asked me to order like all kinds of stuff, leggins, turbans, visor and other stuff.

She asked for one of those phone holders knobby things and another pair of leggins today. I have gone and ordered them all and while most of them were cheap enough I sorta don't mind. She keeps saying - I know I owe you etc and I'll you right - but the money is not forthcoming.

She can't get out so is at the mercy of a friend and carers, after today I won't be buying any thing more. She does be so grateful.

Do think because she is so ill she sorta doesn't think.

Get her orders posted to you & you can collect payment when you deliver to friend.....wangle tea/dinner/drink off her ;)

jj, I have no reason to disbelieve you. You have done your friend some kindnesses there and no doubt feel sorry for her that she has lost her old companion. Well done. I don't blame you for wanting to curb this expenditure. For whatever reason, the lady has put you in an unfortunate position.

jj - just add it all up and then decide what to do. But whether you ask for the money or not it might be better for you to stop buying for her now. She does seem to be taking advantage of your good nature imo.

Tambo - just up and reading that I won't be seeing her for a very long time - absolutely nothing to do with the money - no way.

I'm not allowed to visit her due to the Covid restrictions and her being so vulnerable and another factor being the accident I had 2 weeks would prevent me from driving so far as I am quite nervous driving now. I only drive about the local area.
