Need help on a little tiff myself and a friend have. He has a 03,1.5 Alfa Romeo 147, he believes that his car would beat and is better than the 177BHP, Mid engine RWD Toyota MR2, 1991,G-Limited, that we had a few year back. There is no way I'm letting him have this down believing so. So I need some opinions from dudes who know their car ****. Help would be appreciated in ending this disagreement

Well...... I guess if you gave him a 3 second head start he'd reach 60 first.

I could only find a 173bhp MR2 specs, but that was 0-60 in 7.9 (same as my Focus). Likewise could only find the specs for the 1.6 Alfa 147 which is a bit newer (and I guess they didn't make it slower) which does 0-60 in 10.6 zzzzzzz

Sorry, but I believe the 03 Alfa 147 was only sold with a 1.6 or 2.0 engine, not a 1.5. So, with 'only' 120 BHP compared to the MR2s 177 I guess its no surprise that the Toyota will be faster. However, whether that makes it 'better' is another matter, and depends on a lot of factors besides speed.
