Been to see my mum today, in hospital.
Just sat with her for an hour.
Sedated of her eyeballs but appears to be pain free.
The first and only time that I kissed her and told her that I love her as I left.
We just wernt a touchy feely kind of family.

I think it's partly because you always expect your Dad to go first so you are a little bit mentally prepared for it. Plus, when the first parent goes, you still have the other one to look after so that keeps you going.
I know how I come across on AB at times...beligerent, drunk, argumentetive etc
(and most probably correct)
But this is killing me!!
On the one hand I obviously want my mum to live,
But on the other hand...after seeing her today....just wish that she would draw her last breath.
Its pitiful to see a once vibrant mother/woman wearing a nappy and catheter and having to sip from a hand held cup while not knowing who the hell anybody is and then slipping back into unconsiousness...
