A youth of 17 has damaged a neighbours garage. If the police rae involved what would be the outcome?

If the damage is minor, and the youth admits the offence and has no previous convictions, the likely outcome is a reprimand, which is like a caution.
yep, fountain is right, no offences etc the consequences can range from a reprimand or a caution etc

If the youth is a PYO (persistant young offender) then you will be looking at a Court appearance, possibly a fine, and the referral to the Youth Offending Team. The court can impose referral orders, supervision orders, intense supervision and surveilance orders etc (depending on severity and frequency of offending)

Mind you, the youth doesnt have to be a PYO to appear in Court and be fined etc if pleads or is found guilty, it just increases the likelihood.
