My wife had a very convincing email purportedly from Royal Mail. It stated that a parcel was waiting for her at an unstated depot and that she should pay £1.99 as the item was insufficiently stamped. The email asked for her name and address.....go figure..
Royal Mail wouldnt have her email address, its a scam. The postie would just leave a card with instructions on where to collect the item and how to pay the fee due.
Course they have. I have email on my phone. I was puzzled by the post which said "it was a message on her mobile phone" when we asked how they knew her email address.
Anyway, not matter. Its spam wotever
That's right ummmm - and your post reminded me that they have my email address because I've previously registered with them in order to do just that - arrange a redelivery after a 'something for you' card through the door.
Yes, of course its a scam. They said they have a parcel for her and are asking for her name and address, well if they really did have a parcel for her it would already have her name and address already on it!!! You can tell its a scam at 20 paces.
