when does the old one run out, on it says 04 21 is that end of April, or the end of March, as i have been told conflicting info by two people at the bank. One said it runs out end of March the other said that it runs out end of April. Hope that makes some sense.

i have received the new one today, it not that i am worried, but
there is a slight problem with online shopping, as i do mine weeks in advance, using the old card, it means cancelling the 15th march on line booking, as you can't change cards mid booking. so if i am to use the new one, will have to change all the Amazon, sainsburys details after next week.

thank you, hopefully i don't lose the new one, like before when i got a brand new card and the waitrose machine ate it.

You can change cards mid booking. Just go to your basket and add something or remove something then check out again using the new card details

When the driver delivers your shopping , do you have check that it's all there before he leaves ?

Emmie you can use the old card till the end of April but once you activate the new one you cannot use the old one. I would advise do your shop etc with the old one and when you are ready to use the new one log in to all your on line accounts and put in the details of the new card. You will probably get an email from Amazon saying your card is about to expire sometime in April

no time to check the goods Bazile, they want to drop stuff off and go as quickly as possible. I have yet to miss an item, except when they let you know that they didn't have x in stock.

No you don't, Bazile. A while back I realised a bottle of gin was missing from my delivery and phoned Tesco. They refunded straight away.
Weeks later I found the bottle of gin

I've used old and new cards in parallel with no problems but not Barclays, so they may be different.

No Baz if anything is missing you can report it, same as click and collect from a store.

i don't order miles of stuff, there is only me, its just a lot easier than schlepping around the local store.

I also have a Barclays debit card and as soon as I used my new one for the first time, even though my old one still had a month to run it was declined next time I tried it (because it just happened to come out of my purse first), ie use of the new one does indeed cancel out the previous.
