Hi ,i have two uncovered lengths of 10mm shower cable ,one small length in the garage and the other in a spare room ,the cable runs from the consumer unit to the shower with a pull switch before the shower .
What i'd like to do is to cover the two exposed lengths of cable with conduit ,but am not sure what is legal .....any help would be great.
Thanks

10mm cable is good for up to 63A, whereas a 10.5kW shower will draw 44A – so there is some spare capacity in the cable allowing it to be enclosed without worrying about heat dissipation.
I would recommend something like this providing that the cable will fit:-

May I just add a little to Hymie's post?

Conduit or trunking is known a Reference Method B.
From The Tables: Method B gives a rating of 52A, so as he says, that's Ok.

Your only problem would be if the cable passed through insulation for its whole length. That would give ratings rather too close for comfort.
It's called "De-rating". A short length of insulation (it can be calculated) would only de-rate the cable a little from the 52A.

I'm just being picky, but I thought you should know.
