White Space On Left Hand Side Of Google Search Page On Laptop

Don't know what I have done but for some reason the google page doesn't seem to fit on my laptop screen properly which means that I now have a scroll left and right bar at the bottom of the screen - not ideal.
There seems to be a white margin on the left hand side of the page now underneath the google logo?
What have I done, or more importantly, how do I undo it?

Have you (inadvertently) zoomed the page size to a larger percentage? Try holding doewn the Ctrl key and press the - key, or use the + key if it seems like it might have gone to a lower percentage.

Anything else might need some specialist knowledge...

Doing that seems to reduce the font size on the page Stephen. And if I go down to 90% the scroll bar disappears. However the font is smaller than I would like it to be!
The white margin still seems to be there?
