When did we start sending cards for these events in this country, UK?
A friend of mine thinks it was an American thing and doesn't remember us sending cards to our Mums and Dads.
We were both born 1946.
I must admit I honestly can't remember if I sent cards to my Mum and Dad.

I can remember it when I was a child, but can't remember how old I was, but it would be in the late 50's probably. I know me and my brother used to buy her cheap dog ornaments from Woolies (not cheap to us kids) and she used to make such a fuss and say how much she loved them. Lovely Mum.
Got caught out when we lived in the U.S. looking for a card to send home ( in the days before Moonpig) as Americans celebrate it in May.
