Does A Widower Receive Extra State Pension?

My Mum died at the end of last year.I was wondering if my 92 year old Dad would receive any extra state pension as a Widower and if so how does he apply for it?

I think basically in your case the state pension of the survivor will be made up to what the deceased partner was receiving if that is greater.

Usually the wife's pension will have been less so a widower won't get any extra. (I think)
