I bought one of these not too long ago to connect to two controls - however they have gone to extremely tangles.

I youtubed an answer but to no avail, like I couldn't work it out. Is there any way I can straighten it out or be able to buy a non-curly cable.

PS - Why are they curly in the first place.

curly cable I bought on Ebay - I'm always losing TV controls down the back of settee, so when I got the tiny Amazon Firestick I was afraid of it disappearing so bought the cable to connect to big TV control and Firestick control and it has been great, however as above the cable too entangled now.

it's ok - I've just improvised - I have connected strong garden string to each loop,
>>> Why are they curly in the first place

For the same reason that most landline phone handset cables are. So that they will be long enough to stretch to where you want them but, at the same time, won't be hanging down on the floor when the device is in its 'stored' position.

I've never had a problem untangling a phone's curly handset cord by simply holding the 'phone end' of the cord up high and letting the weight of the handset untwist the cord. Have you tried holding the 'other' end of the cable up high and letting the remote control hang down (possibly pulling down from the top of the cord with your fingers as you do so)? I'd normally expect that to be all that's need to get rid of the tangles.

thanks Chris - have done all what you said but to be honest there are a lot of tangles. This garden cable will do for now. thanks again
Like fairy lights all stringed things like this deliberately move themselves into knots when you're not looking.
Women and their cables...just like women and their hair.
Got it straight - want it curly.
Got it curly - want it straight.
Don't mess with the short and curlies!
