I'm reminded of when my cat decided it was time to move her four kittens from their basket downstairs to under my bed upstairs. She struggled for ages to catch each kitten and then to keep hold of it as she tried to climb the stairs with it clutched in her jaws. After getting two kittens upstairs she simply collapsed with exhaustion alongside them underneath my bed. I'll never forget the way she purred when I delivered the two remaining kittens back into her care ;-)
