The Thread That Shocked The World.

This is the thread that shocked the world! And other places too!
Or it will be.
Or it might be.
Or it could be.
So what is shocking?
Well, I haven't had a haircut for, (?), years, and my locks are now shoulder length.
Mrs T suggested I get a trim, whilst I was going to get my granddaughter to dye it blue.
So what are you doing/done that is shocking?

When I was in my late twenties, I grew my curls, and when stretched out, they came past my shoulders, and when curled, were well past my collar.
Now most of them have vanished with age, but as always, the back and sides are still in place - but now they have sprouted a couple of inches outwards, and the stopped.
Never mind - 12 April, just after lunch, a Number Three at the barber's - counting the days!!!

sanmac 15.35 - SNAP! I spent a not very pleasant 50 mins. in the dentist's chair from 2.00 p.m. today. :(
Otherwise, drove over to my granddaughter's on her 10th birthday with a special birthday present. She'd been really, really trying to learn all her times-tables and I'd been helping her every week when I collected them from school, before I had to stop. She was also desperate to reach 'fountain pen' status and I promised that if she could say all her tables to me then I would buy her the prettiest one I could find.
Well, she did it! Hesitantly at times and over the phone (with a bit of frantic mental adding-up). Unfortunately this was only 2 days before her birthday. No way would I disappoint that child and break my word so I visited a local stationers (open because it sold newspapers) and drove 48 miles each way to deliver it on the big day. I didn't go into the house - but it did break rules and I don't care and I'd do it again.
