Electric Car Charging From 3 Pin Socket
I gather it's not really recommended to rely on a 3 pin plug charger for charging a vehicle long term due to the plug and wiring overheating. Is it possible to get a reduced wattage charger, i.e. 1-2kw if 3kw is likely to overload the socket and wiring. Charge time doesn't worry me as I'd only be using the car once a week.

3kW drawn from a BS 1363 UK plug should not be a problem – even if it is for a prolonged period. UK domestic mains power outlets are rated at 13A, so can supply slightly over 3kW at a nominal 240Vac.
