Sorry atheist, my post sybbmitted beforeb finnishrd typing...

She is still very much in your thoughts. You are bound to dream about her. Just accept it as part of the grieving process.
It's still very recent, things will settle down eventually - all quite normal.

Try again''''''
keep drraming abou my mum, ,,,,
I think it's probably natural to dream about someone you have recently lost, although I never had bad dreams about recent losses, but I often dream about old mates who went years ago. I think that dreams are your mind exploring your past experiences.
Ah nailit. I think about you often n wonder how u doing. Natural to dream .... and I’m sorry to hear that some are unnerving. It’s your minds way of processing all that you’ve gone through. Quite natural. Xx
nailit, been there done that. Its awful but it does ease off. I can tell you that alcohol didn't help me, it was one of those "when you are going through hell, keep going" things.
Dwell on this, you were a loving dutiful son who could do no more, and I'm sure your Mum appreciated you for every minute.
Not surprising you dream.
nailit - I had terrible dreams for ages after Mum died - and again 2 yrs. later when Dad died. Even now, almost 40 years later, I can have bad dreams ...... last night was a doozy, really horrible ------ but they are rare. I think it's to do with how great was your love and commitment and how much one regrets missing all the chances to connect.

Welcome your dreams, your grief is working itself out and if you didn't care - you wouldn't have them.
I have dreamed about my dearly loved mum twice in the twenty years since she died. I would love to dream about her more.
I find your last paragraph rather upsetting jourdain. And untrue.
Nailit, I don’t want to sound uncaring but you’ve got to move on with your life, everyone suffers the loss of parents,it’s a fact of life, try not to dwell on it for too long. I know your family have been less than helpful and welcome to the club, my thieving gobsheet of a brother and his solicitor boyfriend took advantage of my dying mother while she was away with the fairies on a cloud of morphine and got her to alter her will massively in his favour to the detriment of his siblings. But am I bitter? You better believe it.
