Now able to meet up with six outside. Best friend is 80 today. We went to her house with our other best friends. We sat on the patio, had drinks and nibbles. It was wonderful to see everyone until!!!!
Farmer spread evil smelling slurry just up the road. I haven't had a sense of smell for thirty years but everyone else was gagging. So we moved inside.
She had cooked beef bourginione with new pots and veg. Delicious. Then her hubby got a wonderful birthday cake delivered from a company in Wembley.
Followed by lots of cheese and biscuits. We all acted very safely.
We last met up in a break from lockdown in the summer for a patio get together. Looked forward to this night for ages!

seems a long way away to be fair. all this can change of course if there is a spike in deaths from the virus.

If you could smell the slurry (they also do it round where I am) then it means you ain't got Covid :)
the "rule" at the moment is 6 people from different households or 2 households of any size
yes bedknobs but only outdoors in England
true :)
as I said, there are people who want everyone to stay indoors and there are people who want everyone to be free to do anything (as evidenced on this thread) so in my mind, the best way forward is to just follow the government guidance (whether you feel it's too lenient or too harsh)
i agree
