There is a good looking new film out this weekend, called 'Right at your door'. The trailer looks great, and it looks like the kind of film that would be good for men and women. See ttp://www.filmfocus.co.uk/review.asp?ReviewID=20719. Under no circumstances go and see Little Man - apparently it's awful!!!
See Snakes on a Plane, good, fun B-movie stuff, not oscar material but scairy, funny, and exciting. Made my wife literally jump out of her seat at least twice, and I enjoyed it too. Also its only 90 minutes, so it doesnt drag on like some films.
I second Snakes on a Plane. Great fun. The devoted supplicant and I saw Crank last weekend - also very entertaining, frenetic and frantic.
Our other recent find was The Illusionist - in fact, I just got back from seeing it a second time. (Although you may consider it a chick flick. It's nowhere near the pace of the other two.) But if you like Edward Norton, ditch the bf and indulge yourself.
