Dacia Sandero Stepway 2014
I'm trying to find out the rating of the fuse protecting the 12v socket socket inside the car - the "cigarette socket". I can find lots of very basic drawings of the fuse layout online but not the actual fuse ratings. I'm not even sure where the fuse is located as some webpages refer to a fuse box in the front passenger door.
The reason I ask is because I've just bought a digital tyre inflator that says the socket must be fused by a 20 amp fuse. It's working current is 16 amp. I've spent years putting up with rubbish inflators so I thought I'd spend a few bob on a quality one!
Thank you.

Looking at YouTube the fuse box is situated on the side of the dashboard at the passenger side. You have to open the passenger door to see it and it's covered by a removable panel with a finger-hole in it. Another link I found defines fuse 33 as the cigar lighter, which will be the want you are looking for. Find the fuse and the value will be on it.
bhg...although I get most of my "stuff" from Amazon, this came from Argos...this is the actual one (Guild being an Argos own-brand)...it's performed faultlessly for a couple of years (I think I paid £26).

I've looked at the corresponding fuse in the cabin as shown on the video and it's rated at 15 amp. It's blue in colour.
I only need to inflate the tyre to 2 bar pressure and I'm just wondering whether this fuse would hold for the time it would take to reach this pressure. I suppose I could get hold of a spare 15 amp fuse to give it a try.

Thank you all for your help. I've bought a pack of 15 amp and 20 amp fuses this afternoon. I'll try the inflator with the existing fuse in place - I can always replace it with one of the spares I bought.
I'm a bit reluctant to fit a 20 amp fuse, even if it's only for the time it takes to pressure the tyre. I know the inflator only uses 16 amp so I'd welcome any further advice - I don't want to damage the electrical circuitry of the car.
