Sad News

Sad news to bring you, Campbell cat ( of the photo ) has passed away today at the ripe old age of 18. She had a couple of hours in the sunshine this morning before peacefully slipping away on my lap this afternoon. Think she just hung on a bit longer than the vet thought she would so she could have some time in the garden this week as she always loved being out there in the sunshine.

One thing I have found is how empty the house seems to be for a long while afterwards, especially if she was your only one

Like haras said, the house will feel empty.....lost the Princess Royal before Christmas - take pleasure and heart from the memories that she gave you!

Thank-you again all, I still have Robbie so it's not an empty house but will miss Campbell as she was full of personality.

A bit late. I am so sorry for you. I still miss Minette (5 years ago) but she didn't have quite such a peaceful ending (had to take her to the vet's after a stroke)soo that is one plus. Minnie always loved lying under the rosemary bush in the sunshine - so that is where she is buried.

There is no good time, or easy way to lose a beloved pet, but it sounds like this was a close second.

A quick turn around the garden, snuggle up on the lap of a loved one, and simply slip away peacefully.

Little comfort to you now, or for some time to come, but when the pain eases, and the good thoughts slowly drift back, this will be one of them.

I'm really sorry.

I had to take mine to the vet early last week. I was terrified it would be one way so this is particularly acute.

It's so hard when we lose a furry member of our family.

I am sorry, its always a wrench losing a much loved fur baby but what a lovely way for her to go.
