I have purchased a domain name for 2 years, what would happen at the end of the 2 year period if that domain was to be majorly successful and everyone wanted it.

Would i get first offer to renew it?

Thanks in advance

Yes, you'll be able to renew it. You'll get warnings sent to your email before the date. If you don't renew it by the time required it'll either be put into a suspended mode for 30 days (where you can buy it again but the domain is unusable), or it'll go back on the market and you may lose it.
Also, make sure you renew it using the company that sold it to you.

You will probably get a letter in the post from Nominet (the body that issues the domains in the UK) who will offer your a chance to renew it for a hefty fee much greater than the company that sold it you. There is a good reason behind this, if the company that sold it you for some reason or other doesn't offer you a chance to renew it or disappears since the time you bought it then they make sure your able to renew it but their administration fee is quite high.
