Joe Le Taxi lyrics (englis translation)

Joe the taxi
Go there not everywhere
Walk(Work) there not to the soft drink
His(Her,Its) yellow sax
Knows all the streets by heart
All the p' tits bars
All the black corners(places)
And the Seine
And his(her,its) bridges which shine
In his(her,its) box
The music has Joe
It is the rumba
The old rock in the mambo
Joe the taxi
It is its life
The rum in the mambo
Traffic jam
He(It) is as ca
Rum and mambo
Joe - Joe - Joe
In his(her,its) box
The music has Joe re-sound(re-ring)
It is the rumba
The old rock in the mambo tin
Go to it Joe
Go to it Joe
Go to it bore(turn darker,charge)
At night towards the rider
Joe the taxi
And Xavier Cugat
Joe the taxi
And Yma Sumac
Joe - Joe - Joe
Joe the taxi
It is its life
The rum in the mambo
Traffic jam
Joe the taxi
And Mariachis
Joe the taxi
And the cha-cha-chi
Joe the taxi
And the cha-cha-chi
Go to it Joe
Go to it bore(turn darker,charge)
At night towards the rider

Woah! This is complete rubbish - someone has just stuck the original lyrics into a web translation engine. The music has Joe??? "La musique Joe" means Joe's music. Haven't time to do a complete translation I'm afraid - hopefully a French native will respond (quite a bit of slang involved).

Thanks for that bonbon. As I guessed still a load of cack. No wonder they changed it so we couldnt understand. Walk there not to the soft drink??? :-)
This is better:

Joe the taxi (cab driver)
He doesn't go everywhere
He doesn't work on soda
His yellow sax (saxophone is a metaphor for his yellow cab)
Knows all of the streets by heart
All the little bars
All the dark corners
And the Seine
And its bridges that shine
In his car
Joe's music
It's the "rumba"
From old "rock" to "mambo"
Joe the taxi
It's his life
The rum with "mambo"
Traffic jam
He's like that
Joe - Joe - Joe
In his car
Joe's music resonates
It's the "rumba"
From old "rock" to phony "mambo"
Go Joe
Go Joe
Speed along
In the night towards the Amazon
Joe the taxi
And Xavier Cugat (famous musician)
Joe the taxi
And Yma Sumac (musician again)
Joe - Joe - Joe
Joe the taxi
It's his life
The rum with "mambo"
Traffic jam
Joe the taxi
And the Mariachis
Joe the Taxi
And the "cha-cha-chi"
Go Joe
Speed along
In the night towards the Amazon
Yes, quizmonkey, I did put the song into a translation engine as it's the quickest way to translate because like you, I don't have the time to do a proper translation, but I did answer the question to the best of my ability and didn't sl@g someone off!!
For god's sake...! 'Ne marche pas au soda" is a pun - it's like saying my car won't run on Pepsi. The taxi won't (it needs petrol) but neither will Joe (he's a drinker). It's actually all a very clever lyric. Don't judge it on a moron who uses web translation engines.
bonbon - despite your name you clearly don't know a word of French and even less about linguistics and the complexities of translation. So why even bother to answer this post? Any translation engine will translate each word individually - and even then get it wrong - paying no attention to double meanings, stylistics, voice, slang, register etc. You've actually given a totally wrong impression of a very evocative and clever lyric.
Question Author
yes it is a very clever lyrics I can see that now. But I didnt judge it on any moron. Bonbon was trying to be helpful and he was, well he did alot more than I could be @rsed to do and I give everyone stars for their effort. All you had to do was explain that it may be wrong if put through an translator not jump down the poor members throat. I thank you both for your great efforts.
If somebody's thoughtless post on here elicits a response like "still a load of cack" when that is clearly not the case, then yes, the poster does deserve his throat to be jumped down.
Question Author
Not at all. I'd understand if they were having a laugh but they were just trying.
Calm down people, why don't you all just get a room.
I prefer Bonbon's lyrics.
I prefer Vanessa Paradis!!!....i use to have a crush on her when i was young :)
