Bursitis Feedback, Sqad
1 Answers
I know you like feedback Sqad, so thought I’d let you you know..
Telephone consultation earlier with one of our GPs who specialises in sports injuries, joint problems, etc.
After asking lots of questions he agrees with you (and me) that it’s bursitis. There’s a reluctance at the moment, because of COVID, to give steroid injections unless absolutely necessary, due to compromising immune systems, which makes sense to me.
He’s recommended ibruprofen gel for now, to get back to him as and when necessary for a plan B (which will probably involve an increase in the lanzaprazole I already take so that I can be prescribed some anti inflammatories). The ibruprofen I took a couple of weeks ago has really upset my stomach, and to be honest it’s not something I’d take at 2am which is when the bursitis bothers me the most and wakes me up.
So there you go. I’m happy I spoke to him and with his advice..and yours too.
