I live in sheltered accommodation. Last week I linked my new computer to the wifi no problem. At the same time, however, the wifi completely disappeared from my old computer. Would this be because they were too close together?

Is the Wifi supplied
by your sheltered accommodation? Perhaps you are limited to only one device to be connected at a time. The closeness of them would not have any effect.

Could well be. Will have to ask.
on the old device, do a scan for connections and see it if finds the one that your new PC is connected to.
Question Author
It says no connections available whereas there used to be 8 or9.
they should still be visible, looks like your old PC is not finding them are you sure the scan is actually on? what OS are you using? can you see them on your phone?
have you turned the wifi button off inadvertently?
go to internet and wifi settings and check wifi is enabled.

The wifi button is no longer available. All it shows is flight mode. Not to worry, I'm going to bin it anyway. Thanks for your time and trouble.
