Mobile Internet Connection

My mobile internet connection has gone down.

My desk top and TV are working fine, but not my phone.

Have switched off and on again - any ideas?

I'm confused. Mobile internet is what your mobile phone uses when it can't connect to WiFi. Do you mean your WiFi has gone down and your pc won't connect?

Your mobile phone won't connect to your WiFi? Will it connect to 4G?

Mobile internet can also mean personal internet you carry with you if you don't have access to home wifi.

You mean MiFi, ichkeria? Where you put a SIM card into a portable router so multiple devices can connect to one SIM card. I just turn my mobile phone in to a hotspot, same effect.

Perhaps your mobile network is having problems. Just connect to WiFi.

I have sorted it now - well to be accurate, Mrs Hughes has sorted it!

I turned the connection off in error.

It was very simple, whatever it is that connects the phone to the internet, I managed to turn it off without realising - and my wife has managed to turn it back on again.

There's different ways of doing it. I'd have thought the most common was a small device called a dongle which you top up with subscriptions. Normally of course your phone would connect to wifi the same way as your other devices, or else access mobile data if enabled. Sounds like Andy has a different setup.
