Laptop Update Problems
3 Answers
I allowed Microsoft to run a Windows update on my laptop last night and its thrown things out this morning.
Firstly it no longer recognises my finger print.
Secondly my Dell Inspiron is a touchscreen laptop and is not responding to touchscreen today.
Any ideas especially on the touchscreen issue? Not sure what that has to do with bossy old Windows!

I've no real idea way that should work but both BobS1957 and imdupin say that it does!

Amazing outcome!
I turned it on, turned it over to look for the battery, left it like that for a few minutes while I contemplated the idea of getting a screwdriver to it and when I turned it back up the right way it asked for my fingerprint and touchscreen restored!
Thanks You Chris, I'm delighted and we have a new solution from now on. Switch it off and switch it on again, is now superceded by Turn it over and turn it back up again!
